Carson 31, Crenshaw 15--The Colts set a school record with 615 yards in total offense in the Pacific League win at Carson. The Colts, the Times’ second-ranked City team, were led by senior quarterback John Walsh, who completed 23 of 45 passes for 470 yards and four touchdowns. His touchdown passes covered 50, 60, 50 and 27 yards. The 470 yards breaks the school record of 406 he set two weeks ago against Banning.

Senior Latario Rachal led Carson receivers with four receptions for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

Carson improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the Southern Pacific Conference. Crenshaw is 2-4 and 2-2.

Fairfax 24, University 0--The Lions, the Times’ seventh-ranked City team, kept their undefeated record intact with an easy Coastal Conference win at Fairfax.

Fairfax struck early, with Tharen Todd scoring on a 60-yard touchdown pass play from Rahim Muhammad on the fourth play of the game. Muhammad scored on a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Lions a 12-0 lead.

Fairfax improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The Warriors are 2-5 and 1-3.

Bell 33, Jefferson 6--The Eagles, led by senior running back Armando Lara, won for the third consecutive time in the Southeastern Conference Eastern League game at Jefferson. Lara gained 133 yards in 22 carries and scored one touchdown.

Bell fullback Valente Marshall gained 33 yards in 11 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Bell, which led 21-0 at halftime, improved to 4-2-1 overall and 4-2 in the conference. Jefferson is 2-4-1 and 1-4.

Mission Viejo 28, Capistrano Valley 13--Marcellus Chrishon rushed for 165 yards and scored two touchdowns in a South Coast League game at Mission Viejo.

Chrishon scored on runs of 39 and 23 yards in the fourth quarter, when the Diablos broke open the game.

Quarterback Tim Snowden threw for 176 yards, including an 87-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Ramirez.

Mission Viejo improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.

Capistrano Valley, the Times’ sixth-ranked Southern Section team, dropped to 6-2 and 1-2.
