BIG WEST ROUNDUP : Utah State Routs UNLV, 31-6
Running back Floyd Foreman ran for one touchdown and passed for another to lead Utah State to a 31-6 victory over Nevada Las Vegas Saturday in a Big West Conference game at Logan, Utah.
Utah State, 2-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the Big West, held UNLV (4-5, 3-2) scoreless until Derek Scott connected with wide receiver Keenan McCardell on a one-yard touchdown pass play with 25 seconds left.
Tulsa 35, New Mexico State 10--Mark Brus rushed for a school-record 312 yards and scored three touchdowns in a nonconference game at Las Cruces, N.M. as the Hurricane (2-7) ended a six-game losing streak. New Mexico State (0-8) has lost 25 consecutive games, the nation’s longest losing streak.
Brus, a senior tailback, broke the Tulsa record of 250 yards rushing in a single game set in 1952 by Howard Waugh.
