In another Sea View League girls’ volleyball match:

Newport Harbor 3, Tustin 0--Amy Evans had five aces to lead host Newport Harbor (13-4, 7-2) to a 15-8, 15-11, 15-6, win.

In Century League girls’ volleyball:

El Modena 3, Canyon 0--Melizza Benitez had 26 assists, six kills and three aces and Marni Hichborn had 16 kills and eight blocks to lead El Modena (15-0, 9-0) in clinching the league title with a 15-7, 15-8, 15-6 victory at Canyon.

Foothill 3, Orange 0--Becca Foltz’s 15 kills helped Foothill (8-4, 6-3) to a 16-14, 15-1, 15-4 victory at home.

In Empire League girls’ volleyball:

Cypress 3, Esperanza 2--Cypress clinched the league championship by rallying to win, 15-6, 13-15, 15-11, 1-15, 15-12, at Esperanza.

Cypress trailed, 8-1, in the third game and 12-10 in the final game before Heather Lowe served out the match. Lowe had 11 kills, five aces and six blocks while Misty Hartung added 19 kills and five aces for Cypress (12-3, 9-0).

Loara 3, Los Alamitos 1--Tracy Titus had 22 kills and Cami Ramsey had seven as Loara (10-5, 5-4) won, 15-6, 15-8, 14-16, 17-15, at Los Alamitos.

In Freeway League girls’ volleyball:

La Habra 3, Sonora 1--La Habra, ranked second in the county, won its 37th consecutive match dating back to last year with a 15-7, 15-0, 5-15, 15-2, victory over visiting Sonora.

Sunny Hills 3, Fullerton 0--Rachel Hochgesang had four aces and four kills to lead host Sunny Hills (11-3, 7-2) to a 15-8, 15-4, 15-7 victory.

In Garden Grove League girls’ volleyball:

La Quinta 3, Santiago 1--Carin Whittington had 13 kills and four blocks and Yukiko Matoba had 41 assists to lead host La Quinta (12-3, 10-3) to a 15-13, 15-17, 15-10, 15-9 victory.

In Orange League girls’ volleyball:

Valencia 3, Savanna 0--Amy Tamblyn’s 16 kills led league-champion Valencia (14-1, 9-0) to a 15-12, 15-4, 15-11 victory.

In Sunset League girls’ volleyball:

Marina 3, Huntington Beach 0--Cristin Rossman had 14 kills for visiting Marina (12-3, 10-1), which clinched at least a tie for the league championship with a 15-2, 15-9, 15-11 victory. The Vikings can clinch the league title Thursday with a victory over Fountain Valley.
