Covina : Crossing Guard Approved
A school crossing guard will be placed at Barranca and Workman avenues for children who attend Barranca School.
A group of 79 parents who live in an apartment complex on North Grand Avenue had requested the crossing guard. The council approved the proposal 3 to 2, with members Henry Morgan and Chris Richardson voting against it.
The city’s Public Works Department had recommended against the proposal because the intersection is controlled by a signal light.
