Following are last week’s top collegiate football performances by former South Bay high school and community college players: * Johnnie Morton, USC, freshman: The former South Torrance High wide receiver had three catches for 111 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown, in a 31-31 tie with California.

* Brian Treggs, California, junior: The former Carson wide receiver had two catches for 31 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown with 1:22 left that led to the game-tying PAT against USC.

* Treamelle Taylor, Nevada Reno, senior: The former Hawthorne and El Camino College wide receiver had five catches for 73 yards and 187 all-purpose yards to help the Wolfpack (9-0) clinch at least a tie for the Big Sky Conference title with a 34-27 victory over Montana. Taylor ranks second in NCAA Division I-AA all-purpose yards, averaging 155.9 a game.

* Fred Gatlin, Nevada Reno, sophomore: The former Carson quarterback completed 20 of 40 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown in the Wolfpack’s victory.

* Deon Figures, Colorado, sophomore: The former Serra defensive back had five unassisted tackles, four assists and one pass deflection in a 27-12 victory over previously unbeaten and third-ranked Nebraska.

* Sean Smith, Iowa, senior: The former Leuzinger wide receiver had three catches for 63 yards in a 54-28 victory over fifth-ranked Illinois to help the Hawkeyes move into driver’s seat for the Big Ten Conference title.

* Aaron Craver, Fresno State, senior: The former El Camino running back rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in a 45-18 victory over Nevada-Las Vegas.

* Tyrone Rodgers, Washington, junior: The former Banning defensive lineman had three tackles and a sack and helped the Huskies limit Arizona to 94 yards rushing in a 54-10 victory.

* George Malauulu, Arizona, sophomore: The former Carson quarterback was one of the few bright spots for the Wildcats in their loss to Washington, completing seven of 15 passes for 142 yards and rushing for 35 yards on seven carries.
