HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Montclair Prep Coasts to 55-21 Win

Montclair Prep wrapped up its third consecutive Alpha League title Thursday night with a 55-21 victory over Marshall Fundamental at Pierce College.

Sophomore running back Eliel Swinton led the Mounties (7-3, 5-0 in league play) in their regular-season finale with 205 yards in 13 carries.

Senior Ed Cibrian scored 14 points in a 13-second span midway through the first quarter. Cibrian caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Mike Lincavage and kicked the extra point. Cibrian later intercepted a pass by Per Larson and raced 32 yards for a touchdown. His extra point gave Montclair Prep a 21-0 lead.

Senior fullback Neimad Durham added three touchdowns for the Mounties, scoring on runs of one, nine and one yard, and finished with 95 yards in 12 carries.

Montclair Prep held Marshall Fundamental (2-8, 0-5) to 32 yards rushing and 180 yards passing.
