Canyon 40, Ridgecrest Burroughs 8--Led by David McDivitt’s 109 yards rushing and three touchdowns, Canyon (9-1, 4-1) clinched second place in the league at Burroughs.

Burroughs marched to the Canyon two-yard line on the opening drive of the game, but fumbled, and after Canyon recovered, the Cowboys marched 98 yards in eight plays, capped by Scott Blade’s 30-yard run. Blade gained 84 yards in four carries, scoring on runs of 30 and 43 yards.

Canyon forced seven turnovers by Burroughs (3-7, 1-4).
