PRESEASON NIT : Arkansas Routs Oklahoma, 110-88

Oliver Miller had 20 points, 12 rebounds and blocked five shots in dominating the inside as second-ranked Arkansas routed No. 15 Oklahoma, 110-88, Friday night at Fayetteville, Ark., in the second round of the preseason NIT.

The 6-foot-9, 275-pound Miller also helped the Razorbacks (2-0) with outlet passes to start fast breaks, and on at least three occasions tied up Oklahoma shooters.

The loss was the worst for Oklahoma (1-1) since 1980, when Nebraska beat the Sooners, 90-63.

No. 3 Arizona 88, East Tennessee State 79--The Buccaneers made 12 of 26 three-point shots, but the Wildcats, led by Sean Rooks’ 17 points, took control in the second half at Tucson.

Arizona (2-0) took the lead for good at 66-65 with 8:46 remaining when the 6-foot-11 Rooks, who finished with 21 points, made a short jumper.

The Wildcats built their lead to 83-72 on a dunk by Brian Williams with 1:34 remaining, and took a 87-74 lead in the final minute on two free throws by Chris Mills.

No. 6 Duke 100, Boston College 76--The Blue Devils took command 2 1/2 minutes into the game at Durham, N.C., going on a 24-2 run that included 20 consecutive points while holding the Eagles scoreless for 6 1/2 minutes.
