Garret Gabriel passed for three touchdowns, leading Hawaii past Wyoming, 38-17, in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday night.

The Rainbows improved to 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the WAC. Wyoming, which has accepted a bid to the Copper Bowl, fell to 9-3 and 5-3. Jeff Sydner caught two touchdown passes from Gabriel as Hawaii took a 21-3 halftime lead. The Rainbows scored the first three times they had the ball, twice after Cowboy turnovers.

Three plays after the opening kickoff, Gabriel ran 25 yards to the Cowboy 43. On the next down, Gabriel passed over the middle to Sydner, who ran 43 yards for a touchdown at 13:53.
