Terrell Lowery scored 40 points and had 13 assists and Loyola Marymount lived up to its run-and-gun style on Sunday with a 162-129 victory over Chaminade to take seventh place in the Maui Invitational and give Coach Jay Hillock his first victory.

The Lions (1-2) were missing three starters due to injuries but still averaged 126 points in the three-game tournament while allowing 127.

The score broke the tournament’s team and game record for points, which was set on Saturday in Northeastern’s 152-123 victory over Loyola.
