Midfielder Tab Ramos, a leader of the U.S. team that qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 40 years, was named the U.S. Soccer Federation’s male athlete of the year. . . . Forward-midfielder Michelle Akers-Stahl, who scored 14 goals in 11 games for the U.S. women’s team this season, was named the federation’s female athlete of the year.
