Celestine Honored by Titan Football Team
J.J. Celestine, who caught 58 passes for 880 yards and six touchdowns this season, was named Cal State Fullerton’s most valuable offensive back during the Titans’ awards banquet Tuesday night.
Celestine won one of five awards chosen by the players. Other winners were Gary Thornton (most valuable defensive lineman), Lorenzo Hailey (most valuable defensive back), Damien Macaluso, Robert Reid (most valuable offensive linemen) and Terry Sullivan (most valuable newcomer).
Fullerton coaches voted Chad Lindsay most valuable special teams player, Chad May and Saadite Green most valuable offensive scout team players, Mike Allen, Dan Godfrey and Jason Wells most valuable defensive scout team players, and Todd Baird won the Titan Pride Award.
