Long Beach Women Win Title, 90-64
Kari Parriott had 25 points and a career-high 19 rebounds Saturday night to lead the 11th-ranked Cal State Long Beach women to a 90-64 victory over Kansas State in the championship game of the Dial Soap tournament at University Gym.
Dana Wilkerson added 14 points and Trise Jackson had 13 as the 49ers improved to 4-1. Kansas State, led by Diana Miller’s 28 points, fell to 3-3.
Long Beach, which had a 64-32 rebounding edge, broke open a tight game by scoring the last eight points of the first half to take a 43-33 lead.
