How do you dress for a jazz night at the Ambassador Auditorium? However you want, more or less.
People who’ve dressed for success at the office bop on over and fit right in. People in a champagne mood drag out the bow ties, the furs and jewels--there’s nothing like a little sartorial riff to send the blues into orbit. Dinner jackets rub elbows with sports jackets on one side and denim on the other.
The Pasadena event featured the legendary Modern Jazz Quartet. The Auditorium exuded its usual classy ambience. The foursome played jazz classics and new works, and Pasadena played on.
