Blaze Damages Store, Injures Firefighter
Fire caused $750,000 damage to a Burbank surplus store Thursday and injured one firefighter, Burbank fire officials said.
The firefighter, whose name was not made public, was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment of second-degree burns to his ears and neck.
Nearly 50 firefighters from the Burbank and Glendale fire departments battled the blaze at Mort’s Surplus Mart in the 500 block of North Victory Boulevard for more than an hour, a Burbank Fire Department dispatcher said.
The cause of the fire had not been determined.
