Woman Shot Feeding Her Baby; Two Held
A Pomona woman was in serious condition Saturday after being shot in the neck while feeding her baby in her bedroom, police said.
Officers arrested two Ontario women on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly walking into the apartment of Rosario Zuniga Miranda, 24, and shooting her with a .32-caliber semiautomatic pistol. The infant was not injured.
Miranda, who apparently knew her assailants, provided police with an address and descriptions of Maria Ester Medina, 27, and Maria Evelia Juarez, 22, both of whom were being held without bail at the Pomona jail, Sgt. Louie Hernandez said.
