Sea Animals Group Will Move to Marineland Site
- Share via
The owner of the former Marineland site in Rancho Palos Verdes announced Friday that he will allow a group that cares for sick and injured marine mammals to move to the site temporarily. The Organization for the Respect and Care of Animals of the Sea (ORCAS) operates at Dockweiler State Beach, but has found that location, which is under Los Angeles International Airport’s flight path, to be too noisy for the animals. The group plans to begin construction of a permanent facility at the Upper Reservation of Ft. MacArthur next spring.
