Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson filed suit in New York to stop the next heavyweight championship bout, saying that he, not George Foreman, should have the first opportunity to challenge champion Evander Holyfield.

The lawsuit seeks $10 million in damages from the World Boxing Assn., the International Federation of Boxing and officers of the two organizations. Tyson claims that the WBA and IBF violated their own rules when they denied him a rematch with Buster Douglas.
