Schubert Resigns as Soccer Coach at Master’s College

Mark Schubert, The Master’s College soccer coach for the past five seasons, has resigned to pursue personal business interests.

Under Schubert’s guidance, Master’s posted a 63-43-7 record, won two National Christian College championships and qualified for the NAIA regional playoffs in each of the past four seasons. The Mustangs earned their first trip to the NAIA tournament last fall.

“I feel that we accomplished our goal of making The Master’s College soccer program competitive at the national level,” Schubert said in a statement.

Thousand Oaks High has lost from its football schedule two schools it played last season.

San Marcos dropped Thousand Oaks from its schedule for undisclosed reasons and Buena dropped Thousand Oaks because of its plans to play in Hawaii next fall.

Crespi High is looking for a junior varsity boys’ volleyball coach. The season starts at the end of February.

Adam Tenn, 16, of Reseda will compete for a berth on the U. S. national archery team this weekend at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
