Monterey Park : Scudder Ceremony Moved
City officials have changed the location of a ceremony Saturday honoring potato chip queen Laura Scudder.
The noon ceremony, originally set to take place at the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and Garvey Avenue, will instead be held at Langley Senior Citizens Center, 400 W. Emerson Ave.
At a date to be set later, city officials will install a plaque at the intersection of Atlantic and Garvey, near the site of Scudder’s original potato chip factory.
The event is one of several to mark Monterey Park’s 75th birthday.
