Raiders Need Some Quarterback Rebuilding
Washington’s 73-0 drubbing of Chicago in the 1940 NFL championship game, as recalled by Chris Dufresne in his Jan. 21 story of the Raiders’ 51-3 loss to Buffalo, will go down in history along with Sonny Liston’s two victories over Cassius Clay, Kirk Gibson’s dramatic ninth-inning strikeout in the 1988 World Series and Grant’s surrender at Appomattox.
