COLLEGE BASKETBALL WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : Miller Leads Titans Past San Jose
Genia Miller turned in another strong performance and the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team won another Big West Conference game, defeating San Jose State, 72-52, Saturday at San Jose.
Miller, a senior center, scored 36 points, had eight rebounds and blocked four shots as the Titans improved their record to 16-4. They are 9-2 in the Big West.
Forward Pam Pender led the Spartans (2-19, 0-12) with 14 points.
CS Long Beach 111, New Mexico State 81--The 49ers shot a season-high 58% and scored their most points of the season in routing the Aggies in a Big West game at Las Cruces, N.M.
Long Beach (11-7, 6-3) never trailed. The 49ers’ biggest lead came after a 9-0 run made the score 95-52 with 9:43 left.
Senior guard Dana Wilkerson led Long Beach with 21 points. Andrea Kabwasa led New Mexico (9-10, 5-6) with 24 points.
