The Egyptian Shooting Federation said today it is postponing the world championships scheduled for Cairo during the next two weeks because of the Gulf War.

Twenty-two countries, including the United States, are entered in the championships, which were to have taken place from Friday until Feb. 22. The federation said a new date will be set in April or May.
