VENTURA : Gunman Believed to Be a Gang Member
A gunman who shot a 19-year-old Ventura man during a group scuffle Thursday night may have been affiliated with a gang, police said.
The scuffle, which began shortly before 5:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Westpark Recreation Center, had moved onto West Harrison Avenue when the shooter fired from a nearby baseball diamond, police said.
