To Be in L.A. Is to Be in Pictures
Los Angeles has truly become a motion-picture town. Recently I was walking down Wilshire Boulevard, in a group of 10 pedestrians, while a movie was being shot. All of a sudden, a disembodied voice shouted out, “Rolling!” As one body, the 10 of us stopped dead in our tracks.
There we stood for one minute . . . two minutes . . . three. Once again, the voice out of the blue gave its order, “Cut!” As if on cue, all 10 continued on their way.
The citizens of Los Angeles have certainly been well-trained.
