CS Northridge Ends Season With a 99-78 Loss to Cal
Billy Dreher came off the bench to score 20 points and lead California to a 99-78 victory over Cal State Northridge Tuesday in the Matadors’ final game of their first NCAA Division I season.
Northridge (8-20) closed to within 45-35 at halftime, but Cal (12-15) pulled away in the second half, fueled early by Ryan Drew’s three three-point shots.
Kyle Kerlegan scored 22 points for Northridge.
Brian Hendrick added 19 points and 12 rebounds for Cal, which ended a four-game losing streak. The Bears played without guard Bill Elleby, who was suspended for what Coach Lou Campanelli described as violation of “team rules.”
