Man’s Body Found by Hiker Near Lancaster
The partially decomposed body of a man was found by a hiker Sunday morning in a rural area west of Lancaster, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
The unidentified man, believed to be Latino and in his early 20s, had been shot in the upper torso, Deputy Rafael Estrada said. His body was found in an open field about 10 a.m. near California 138 and 210th Street West.
The exact cause of death, and how long the man had been dead, will be determined by a coroner’s autopsy, Estrada said.
