Kori Ebbing, co-captain of the Irvine High School varsity pep squad, will participate with the National Cheerleaders Assn. Superstar-Spirit of America performance team in Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day.
The team will be seen in two performances Sunday, in the morning in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade through the city’s streets and that night at the Lord Mayor’s Ball, a black-tie gala affair.
Ebbing, 16 and a junior, is a former standout gymnast who qualified as an NCA All-American cheerleader during summer camp at UCLA. She has also performed with the NCA at the Aloha Bowl in Honolulu on Christmas Day.
Last summer more than 150,000 students participated in NCA camps conducted in 48 states.
