New Champ in School Quiz Contest

Foothill High School edged defending champion Western, 54-53, to win the 26th annual Kiwanis Bowl quiz competition last week at Western High School.

Other schools sending student teams were Trabuco Hills, Loara, Buena Park, Santiago, Magnolia and Esperanza. Participants were asked questions about literature and history during timed rounds.

Foothill’s team of James Chou, Steven Lin, Stephen Wu, Sila Ponrartana, Jason Hann, Keith Metzger and Dan Goldberg will compete in Friday’s division final at Loara High School in Anaheim.
