COLLEGE BASKETBALL NIT SEMIFINALS : Stanford’s 73-71 Win Is Inside Job

Center Adam Keefe had 24 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andrew Vlahov added 20 points and 11 rebounds as Stanford got past Massachusetts, 73-71, Monday night in the National Invitation Tournament semifinals at New York.
Stanford plays Oklahoma for the championship Wednesday night.
Massachusetts (20-12), which trailed by 16 points in the first half, rallied to take a 59-58 lead with 5:28 left on two free throws by Harper Williams. Stanford (19-13) regained the lead on a three-point shot by John Patrick and never trailed again.
The Minutemen pulled to within 71-69 on a pair of free throws by Jim McCoy with 10 seconds left, but Vlahov hit two free throws with five seconds left.
Oklahoma 88, Colorado 78--Jeff Webster scored 24 points and the Sooners defeated the Buffaloes for the 24th consecutive time.
The Sooners (20-14) trailed, 62-48, with 13:06 left, but got back into the game with a 12-2 run capped by three baskets from Roland Ware, closing the gap to 64-60 with 9:29 remaining.
Consecutive baskets by Kermit Holmes, who scored 17 points, gave for Oklahoma a 68-67 lead and the Sooners added a 10-2 run to make it 81-72 with 1:10 left.
