Miller Prevails in Feature Event at Saugus Speedway
Mark Miller of Chatsworth held off Shannon Flavin to win the Hobby Stock main event before a season-opening crowd estimated at 3,500 at Saugus Speedway on Saturday.
Mike McAntee was third.
John Fleming of Simi Valley won the Jalopy main event after earlier winning the Jalopy trophy dash.
No races were held in the Sportsman or Street Stock divisions, which will make their debut April 6, the track’s official opening night.
Next Saturday’s program also will mark the debut of the Grand American Modified division at Saugus.
