NHL Playoffs Start Tonight With 4 Games

For a team that doesn’t have a player with 25 goals or 75 points, the Washington Capitals have a lot of confidence as they enter the playoffs.

But the Capitals have reason to be upbeat as they play the Rangers at New York in one of tonight’s four playoff openers. While the Rangers dropped out of first place with a season-ending slide of 2-9-1, the Capitals went 9-4-2.

In the other Patrick Division opener tonight, New Jersey is at Pittsburgh. In the Adams Division, it’s Boston at Hartford and Buffalo at Montreal.
