OXNARD : Pedestrian Struck by Car Friday Dies
A 34-year-old woman who was hit by a car while crossing an Oxnard street has died, authorities said Monday.
Marla J. Davis of Oxnard died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, the coroner’s office said.
Davis was walking across Oxnard Boulevard at 9:48 p.m. Friday when she was hit by a car driven by Duane Vance, Oxnard Police Officer Joe Johnson said. Vance, who was traveling at 15 to 20 m.p.h., saw Davis just as he hit her, Johnson said.
Davis suffered severe head injuries, Johnson said.
Vance was not cited, police said.
