Women’s Basketball Claim Is Simply Hype
Jennie Chenoweth’s claim (Viewpoint Letters, April 6) that women’s basketball is just as exciting as men’s, and therefore deserves equal space in the sports pages, is pure radical feminist hype. This is a lot like saying that equal space should be reserved in maternity wards for men. There are certain physical things women do better than men. One of these is birthing, but not basketball. Be careful, Ms. C., talk like yours could lead to women having to hit off the regular tee in golf, or (horrors) having to play five sets in tennis.
