Escondido
A 32-year-old man was fatally injured in a four-car collision, authorities reported Monday.
Hector Vicente Barbarin-Crosswaite of Escondido died at 8:41 p.m. Sunday at Palomar Medical Center, about two hours after the collision.
Barbarin-Crosswaite was headed west on Washington Avenue near Ash Street when his van struck the rear of a car, starting a chain-reaction, authorities said.
Two children, whose names were not released, were injured. The children, who were passengers in another car, were taken to Palomar Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
