A gunman in the bed of a passing pickup truck wounded a teen-ager outside the victim’s Altadena apartment building, officials said Monday.

Michael Brown, 18, was shot in the foot as he and a companion stood near the 2100 block of North Raymond Avenue, said Sgt. Leo Norton of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. Paramedics took Brown to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

One bullet lodged in the wall of an apartment occupied by a 62-year-old tenant of the building, Norton said. She was unhurt. No arrests were made in connection with the shooting, which occurred at 11:33 p.m. Sunday.
