Quarterback John Elway of the Denver Broncos has a back problem, but nobody knows to what extent, Coach Dan Reeves said. News of Elway’s ailment came a day after it was announced that Bronco backup quarterback Gary Kubiak is scheduled for back surgery and is probably out of action until late summer.
