CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : YUCCA VALLEY : No Damage From 3.0-Quake Reported

A small earthquake Friday jolted part of southern San Bernardino County. The 3.0-magnitude temblor hit at 11:55 a.m., according to seismologists at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. The epicenter was four miles southeast of Yucca Valley, a community 115 miles east of Los Angeles near Joshua Tree National Monument. No damage was reported.
