Bernson Praised for Backing Ranch
I am a retired dentist who has participated in many community activities in the west San Fernando Valley. In the almost 40 years I have resided in the Valley, I have observed no reasonable planning in Chatsworth. The retrogressive attitudes of certain factions have kept the area buried in the 19th Century insofar as fine business facilities, health care and greatly needed senior citizen housing is concerned.
The proposed Porter Ranch development is a change from this depressing attitude.
Hal Bernson has supported this much needed change.
Chatsworth and Los Angeles will share a much brighter, healthier and happier future due to his vision and foresight. He should be lauded for his efforts. We should consider the true potential of the Porter Ranch Specific Plan in light of the benefits to be reaped by all of the people, versus the selfish wants of a politically powerful few.
