Four robbers broke into a car dealership and tied up three people, clubbing one of them with a handgun before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said Wednesday.

An unidentified employee of Ron Troutman’s Fleet Leasing Co. was cut on his forehead when he was struck with the gun, police said. He was treated at Palomar Medical Center and released.

The robbery occurred about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday at the dealership at 2219 Micro Place. Four men entered the business through the back door and surprised two employees. The robbers tied up the men, as well as a friend of one of the employees who showed up during the robbery, police said.
