ANAHEIM : City Is Honored for Support of Veterans

The city’s Human Resources Department recently received two awards for its employment and support of veterans who are city employees.
The state Employment Development Department honored the city for its “outstanding support in hiring veterans,” and the Orange County Veterans Employment Council named Anaheim Employer of the Year at a veterans job fair earlier this month.
Eight Anaheim employees served in the Persian Gulf War, and the city made up the difference between the military and regular pay of workers so they would earn the same amount of money while in the military reserves.
