Portland Loses Gracefully, Detroit Doesn’t
Well, we can’t say that Detroit’s Bad Boys didn’t live up to their reputation. In one of the most remarkable displays of infantile behavior ever seen in the NBA, the Pistons went down to defeat in typical Detroit fashion. Laimbeer’s forearms to the head, Rodman’s shove in the back of Scottie Pippen and the Pistons’ march off the court with seven seconds to play displayed the lack of character and class for which they are so renowned.
Detroit, your reign is over and nobody will miss you. Don’t let the Palace door hit you on your way out.
