VENTURA : Harbor Village Fiesta Begins Today
Festivities ranging from free kayaking to a children’s fishing derby will be held this weekend at Ventura Harbor Village, site of Fiesta del Sol.
Events are scheduled for today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free, but there will be a charge for some activities.
The children’s fishing derby will be held both days from 9 a.m. to noon at the commercial dock of the village.
Other activities include scuba and kite-flying demonstrations, helicopter and elephant rides and a car show.
Live music, including folk rock, jazz, reggae, blues and rock ‘n’ roll, will be played all weekend.
