FULLERTON : Council Approves Hike in Airport Fees

Share

The City Council has approved a 3.9% fee increase for pilots using Fullerton Municipal Airport.

The increase, which goes into effect July 1, will cover the general operating costs at the airport, including hangar space, field use, impounds, landing charges, reserved and visitor parking and auto parking, said Roland Elder, director of the airport.

Elder said the fee hike, which is based on the consumer price index for March, will enable the airport to balance its budget. The airport had to reduce its 1991-92 operating budget by $40,980.

According to the airport master plan, airport fees are to be reviewed and adjusted annually. Last year, the airport raised its fees by 5.7%.
