Letterman Won’t Pitch: David Letterman has turned down a chance to prove his claim that he can pitch a shutout inning against a major-league baseball team. The Tucson Toros of the Pacific Coast League offered Letterman an inning and a mound in a July 1 exhibition game against the club’s parent team, the Houston Astros. Letterman said he’s too busy to play.
