PRICEY: Nearly two-thirds of the folks in wealthy Newport Beach told census takers their homes were worth more than half a million dollars, above. But the days when home values jump 20% or more a year may be gone. Says Walter Hahn, a consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Co. in Newport Beach: Houses here are so expensive now that there isn’t room for them to appreciate that fast anymore.
