Memorial Service for Jean St. Pierre

A memorial service for artist Jean St. Pierre will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Columbans Church, 10801 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove.

After the service, friends of the artist are invited to visit his studio at 1001 W. 17th St., Costa Mesa.

Works by St. Pierre will be on view, along with pieces he made in collaboration with Robert Mayer.

St. Pierre, who blended poetry with painting in his artwork and founded the original Newspace Gallery in Fullerton, died on June 28, at 44, of liver and kidney failure.
