A University of Pennsylvania eight rowed to two victories and advanced to the Thames Cup final at the Henley Royal Regatta at Henley-on-the-Thames, England. The Penn crew was the only survivor of 28 American entries into the final day.
It hopes to become the first American crew since 1955 to win the Thames Cup when it meets the London University freshmen in today’s final.
