The quartet of Manley; Eve Stephenson; Jeanne Golay of Hollywood, Fla.; and Dede Demet of Milwaukee completed the 50-kilometer race (31 miles) in 1 hour 5 minutes 0.08 seconds.

The previous record of 1:09:37.72 was set July 7, 1989, in Park City, Utah.
