There’s definitely some changes that should be made, no doubt about it. There is racism, and it can’t be tolerated. When an incident such as King happens, you know there are problems with the Police Department. I think we’ll see changes come about, changes implemented.

But I think Bradley had no right saying Gates should step down, when Bradley was the one caught in the scandal a few years back. The (Christopher Commission) report said there were problems in the department, but it didn’t say they were from Gates. The charges against Gates haven’t been proven. Bradley should have announced that he was retiring.
